Grrrrr..Hotmail vs Chrome.. Another lost battle

Okay.. Yes Chrome is new.. and now so is Windows Live Hotmail. Seriously the unsupported message. Really means unsupported now. Maybe it's just my operating system configurations, and that I feel the need to actually reply to e-mails, but not being able to use the text area in the compose email page, makes using chrome and live hotmail, pretty much. Impossible.

Do you have the same issue, is there a fix. Let us know, we'll post to the minions of chromites.

  4. I think I'll need to test Firefox and see how it responds to the new hotmail.live.com. I'm not sure it's Microsofts fault fully.. yes, most of the time MS doesn't conform to W3Standards, but Chrome is still so beta. Still Gmail works great in Chrome.. go figure, Google mail working great in Google Chrome and the Rich Text box not functioning in Microsoft Hotmail. I guess my point here is.... who gains, who loses .. Google gains if people use chrome and gmail. Don't think Microsoft really cares at this point.

  5. I, too am a victim of this scam. I just got a reply msg from Microsoft customer support and they state they know of the problem and guess what? They are strongly suggesting to download their new internet explorer!! On top of that they stated that if you are using another browser, then go to them for help! What the hell is that?!!
It's a scam and i hear it's working big time because many people in this world still receive and reply to e-mails in their old Hotmail box and they know that. Is it not bad enough we are being scammed by our Government and the Fed and now Microsoft has found a way to screw us over to. This is an outrage and basically blackmail. Our accounts have been hijacked until we use their browser. Craziness

  6. I'm using Chrome. I think it's shady that MS and Google both have this same attitude. If that's the way they want to behave, why not take it to the extreme? Why doesn't Google just block all mail from Hotmail, and vice versa? If they're going to be turds, they might as well be huge steaming piles!

Thank goodness for Firefox. Kudos and props to the Firefox team. Your browser is undeniably the best in the world.

  8. "chrome.exe" --user-agent="Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US) AppleWebKit/525.19 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.1 Safari/525.19"

Updating the shortcut that launches chrome is suppose to fix the browser type declaration that hotmail is compatible with.
