Would you buy a Mac Clone to save $50 odd dollars?

Mac Clone? Yah or Nah!

Psystar recently came onto the tech scene, boasting a low cost open operating system. The system which can run OS x has a price point of $399. Now you can have Leopard per-loaded onto the system for an additional $155. My question to the masses is, if you can pick up a Mac-mini for $599, would you buy a system that may or may not be fully compatible. Yes Psystar is stating it is, but the fact is that Mac Clones where sent packing years ago, to make damb sure that the Mac's name was built on reliable and sexy hardward! Sorry Psystar is not!

  1. If you have read anything about Psystar you are not saving $50. The Psystar set-up rivals the mac pro so you are saving $1,000.

I love my Mac mini and would still buy it 10 more times but get your facts straight before you take a poll.

  2. I'm not sure what anonymous is talking about.. As stated in the CNET article the PSYSTAR open computer... the low end one... blah blah blah is what this article is about! Not a high end model that is the rival of the Mac Pro. But I guess he got his facts before writing the post!
