Microsoft's Photo Story 3 for Windows. I've always been a fan of photo collection software, sorting, editing and creating collections of my favorite pics is a great time waster around my house.
Photo Story at first glance is just an update to the MS-Photo editor that used to pop-up when I clicked a graphic file. They have come a long way from that useless app. To a more full fledged photo gallery app.
You can now Create slideshows, burn DVD's, create fun photo stories that you can share with your family and friends. Photo Story 3 for Windows is a free download available here. It's a lot faster than picasa, only becuase the Google Picasa photo discovery service is a real pain! and the folder drop down takes way too long to load.
